The Brief: Never stop trying.

Coach Kun is not someone who does things halfway. When he built Storm Athletic Club, he committed completely — the equipment, the coaching, the environment. Storm started as a group training gym with structured classes, then evolved over time into a personal training and open gym concept, available 24 hours.

By any measure, the product was good. The problem was discoverability.

Storm had no website — just a basic landing page that sat there and did nothing. In a city where parents and professionals search before they show up, that’s a ceiling on growth. No matter how good the gym was, the right people couldn’t find it.

Strategising >> Roll-out the Storm.

The brief for Phase 1 was straightforward — give Storm a proper digital presence for the first time. Not a brand overhaul, not a strategy exercise. Just a real website that could represent the gym and give potential members a reason to walk through the door. We started SEO work alongside the site from day one, targeting localised keywords and building the foundation for long-term search visibility.

Phase 2 came two years later when Storm moved locations — from a second-floor shophouse unit to a ground-floor space along the corridor, more prominent, more visible from the street. The identity had shifted too. Group classes were out. Personal training and open gym were in. The original site no longer felt like Storm. A redesign was the right call — leaner, faster to convert, built around what a potential member actually needed to see to make a decision.

Phase 1: Building The Foundation

We built a six to seven page site that gave Storm everything the landing page couldn’t — a clear picture of who they were, what they offered, and why it was worth showing up. The goal wasn’t to win design awards. It was to make Storm findable and credible for the first time. SEO work began immediately alongside launch, focused on local gym and personal training keywords in Storm’s area.

Phase 2: The Redesign

The second site was built around Storm’s evolved identity — personal training and open gym, 24 hours, no group class structure. Simpler navigation, faster to convert, built for a visitor who had already decided they wanted a gym and just needed to know if Storm was the right one. We also took a more targeted SEO approach in Phase 2 — going beyond the standard gym keywords to target community-oriented searches that bigger gyms weren’t competing for, reaching an audience that valued an inclusive training environment.

The Outcome. The Outcome

Phase 1 delivered a full six to seven page website built from scratch, alongside an SEO setup targeting local fitness keywords in Storm’s catchment area. Phase 2 delivered a complete redesign reflecting Storm’s new identity and location, with a refined SEO strategy targeting both standard local terms and niche community searches that separated Storm from the mainstream gym market. Domain and hosting were managed by Wanderus throughout the full three-year engagement.

Of SEO compounding — building authority that outlasts any single campaign

When the engagement ended in 2025, Storm made a strategic call to invest in building their social media presence in-house. They hired their own team and took the wheel in a new direction. What they kept was the website — running on hosting and domain managed through Wanderus, maintained by their own team, built properly enough that they never needed to call us to keep the lights on.

That’s exactly how it should end.
